Wind energy is 1 of the renewable energy sources. Have you ever reflected on how such energy is generated? In simple English, energy is obtained by means of special turbines. These turbines change mechanical energy into electricity. However, it is necessary to keep in mind that wind turbines will create electricity only where the wind blows. Furthermore, the speed of wind needs to be faster than “start speed”. Any other way, turbines remain still and the energy is not produced.
What is highly substantial, using wind power equipment is extremely profitable for environment. Because of that, it is possible to lower emissions of harmful carbon dioxide. How? By generating the electricity
without using a fuel
Using wind energy is becoming very popular. It is foreseen that EU countries are going to triple the number of energy
gained from wind by 2020. The scope of popularity of wind energy varies in various countries. E.g., Poland in 2011 was 1 of the European countries with the least developed wind power equipment. In 2015, Poland had second place between all European Union countries with regard to the lately launched wind power equipment and installations. This is expected that this sector is going to be growing continuously. Probably for this reason, in Poland there are more and more specialized enterprise involved in the installation of wind power equipment. On the international markets those enterprise are known for high quality products.
Wind energy is used in various scales. Firstly, wind farms are becoming more and more popular. They are constituted from several power plants and turbines, that are placed next to each other. On the other hand, more and more wind energy is used by individuals in their homes. This allows to have an additional energy source.
